Goal The goal of St. Ann's Parish is that each member grow in Grace through Jesus Christ, and in so doing cooperate with the Holy Spirit in giving glory to God, in experiencing the salvation of their soul, and in building up the Body of Christ.
We, the members of the Saint Ann Parish in Phoenixville, in communion with the Bishop of Rome and with the Bishop of Philadelphia, recognize and accept our Baptismal Call to grow in Grace. Therefore we commit ourselves to:
Through the intercession of all the saints, but relying in a special way upon the prayers of Mary and of her mother Ann, we dare to ask the Lord to shepherd us beyond our wants, beyond our fears, from death into Life. Instrument The Stewardship Way of Life is the chief instrument chosen by St. Ann Parish to help its members open themselves to the Holy Spirit - from whom alone comes the Grace to live our motto, to realize our goal, and to fulfill our mission statement.
Note: The Mission Statement was approved on 9 September 1996 and revised 17 March 2001. The Motto and Goal were approved on 4 March 1999. The Instrument was approved on 16 September 1999. The Mission Statement was revised 12 November 2003. 1 The name Ann derives from the Hebrew name Hanna which means “Grace.” 2 Taken from Preface 40 of The Sacramentary.
